COVID-19: The numbers and the data globally, are getting improved

Share

The data are constantly CHANGING with the epidemiological evolution of the COVID-19 pandemic that has plagued the planet for more than a year, internationally every day.

However, there is a glimmer of hope, which is due – according to the scientists – to vaccinations but also to the effort to create ‘immunity’ in many countries which means that it takes more than 60-70% of the general population to be vaccinated.

Although the data and numbers vary by country, the general characteristics we present today regarding cases, deaths, inpatients and patients who are either in serious condition or fully recovering from the COVID-19, show signs of slight improvement.

The situation remains critical due to the variants and the continuous transmission in some countries such as India.

In any case, the COVID-19 is still here and we must be very careful and never forget to follow the instructions of the scientists.

DATA AND NUMBERS IN DETAIL
Let’s take a closer look at the official numbers

Coronavirus Cases: 162,994,866
Deaths: 3,378,710

ACTIVE CASES: 18,650,616
Currently Infected Patients

18,547,387 (99.4%)
in Mild Condition

103,229 (0.6%)

CLOSED CASES: 144,344,250
Cases which had an outcome:

140,965,540 (98%)

3,378,710 (2%)
Deaths

These numbers are indicative that the problem is focused on easy transmission and the variants of the virus.

The numbers of deaths are iproved the last months and the patients in intensive care clinics and hospitals are less every day. This is a very encouraging sign.

On the other hand, vaccination is the hope of the humanity right now. Let’s hope that all countries -including the third world- will be able to have access to the vaccines soon.
